In your routine, you generally come across certain situations in which you may feel losing control of everything. During such times, negativity surrounds you; you tend to lose temper, lose focus on your work, become irritated, and eventually spoil everything. To stay motivated in such times is the key to success in your professional as well as your personal life.Though you may feel that it is easy to say ‘stay motivated’ but very difficult to implement in practical life, you can still try to stay positive towards your life, no matter how weird the situation is. To keep yourself motivated, you just need to remind yourself of a few things.

1.Have an attitude of expectancy– You will get what you expect. Expect something great to happen for you every day and it will. Say aloud each morning to yourself in the mirror, “I expect something good to happen for me today!”

2.Keep Your Health on Top Priority– “Health is wealth” is a universal proverb. No matter who you are, where you are, and what you are doing, keep your health on top of your priority list. If you stay healthy, you can maintain your efficiency at high levels, but if you compromise on your health, you will face problems in your personal and professional life. Take a balanced diet, take proper rest and sleep for at least 6-8 hours a day to keep your mind and body working efficiently.

 3.Listen to inspiring audio content – Throughout the day there are  plenty of opportunities to listen to something positive. You can listen to something when you’re cooking, cleaning the house, driving your car, exercising at the gym, or jogging around your neighborhood, just to name a few. Download the audio version of some of your favorite books, or subscribe to a few podcasts about your favorite subjects. Listening to 30-60 minutes per day of educational or inspiring audio content will have a tremendous impact on your life and productivity in the long run.

4.Search for the Opportunity – The great motivational thinker Napoleon Hill once said that every difficulty contains the seed of an equivalent opportunity. The person of true character has the courage to find it and then seize it in order move on to a whole new level of success. Problems are a part of life. The only people on the planet who are problem-free are resting six feet under the ground. When faced with an apparent failure or rejection, ask yourself the simple question: “what can I learn from this?” Then use the experience to grow more effective at what you do. Remember, failure is the highway to success. As J.P. Guildford noted: “To live is to have problems and to solve problems is to grow intellectually.”

5.Select, Reflect and Correct – Reflection is one of the most powerful yet under used business skills.The habit of going to a quiet place on a regular basis and reflecting on the causes, solutions and ultimate benefits of a problem you might be experiencing is one that will profoundly improve the level of your personal and professional effectiveness. Thinking deeply about the way you are doing the things you do increases self-awareness which, in turn, prevents future mistakes. Let your past failures serve you. Transform your stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Unless you reflect – then correct – the mistakes of your past, you are doomed to repeat them.

6.Take control over what you can, and stop worrying about what you can’t– Some things are within your control, while other things are not. Learn to recognize the difference. Refuse to worry about circumstances beyond your control. Don’t allow yourself to become so emotionally entangled that it paralyzes your progress. Things may not always work out perfectly, but the sooner you get over them, the quicker you move on to your next victory. Only you can control your own actions and reactions.

7.Speak positive affirmations– Words have a creative force. Regardless of what is going on around you, speak out loud what you want to happen. Write out an affirmation that you can say daily and put it up somewhere that you are sure to see it every day, like your bathroom mirror or your refrigerator.

8.Make a Gratitude list– When you feel low, just count all the blessings in your life. You have a family. You have a home. You have food on the table. There are tons of things to be grateful for. Making a regular Gratitude list is a great way to stay happy and motivated. It will energize you and fill you with positive energy.

9.Triple your investment on learning–  Read new books. Listen to inspirational pod-casts. Visit seminars. Invest in self-development courses. Complacency is the enemy of mastery. So keep learning. Keep growing!

10.Spend Time with Yourself – It has been rightly said that no one can be your best friend except your own self. No matter how busy your schedule is, try to spare sometime for yourself as well. Stay quiet, talk to yourself, this could be the best remedy to freshen up your mind.

11.Cherish Happy Moments – No matter how small they are, cherish each and every moment of bliss. An appreciation, recognition, acknowledgement, an award, or mere timely accomplishment of any task; try to reward yourself for any special moment that comes in your life.

12.Remind Yourself Your Achievements – Whenever you feel dull, exhausted, and demoralized, remind of yourself of your achievements. This will create a positive impact on your psychology. You will then realize your hidden potentials; will realize it was you who has achieved previous targets. Look at your previous shields, certificates, pictures of those special events, and say to yourself, ‘I can do it’. You will surely feel a new energy in yourself.

An infectious, positive attitude can shift your entire life. Infusing your mind with positive thoughts will cause you to produce more positive results in your life. Right now you’re getting as many opportunities as you think you can have. You’re making just the amount of money you really believe you can. To break into making what you’ve only dreamed of and wished for, you must start thinking, believing and speaking like you’re already worth that number! Purposefully infusing your life with a positive perspective will keep you motivated and eliminate all negative sources out of your life.

So think positive, stay optimistic, be confident, and reach your goals!
